The Skis built a 6-0 lead over the Redbirds, then held off a rally from Isanti for a 6-5 victory in Chaska and advance to Labor Day weekend and earn a trip to Class C Sweet 16.  Caleb Strack earned Win with Chad Weiss getting the Save. Josh Wenzel had a 3-hit game and drove in 3 runs for the Skis.

The Lakers fall 8-1 to the Red Devils in a 2nd round game in Chaska at the 2021 Class C State Tournament.  Cody Stich had a pair of hits and Ryan Janzen scored the lone run for Avon in the season-ending loss.

The Lumberjacks season came to a close with a 3-0 loss to the Lakers in a 2nd round game in Waconia.  Drew Beier had a pair of hits for Foley and Ryan Chmielewski gave the Lumberjacks a very solid starting pitching effort but some timely hitting b Waconia proved to be the difference.

The Skis celebrate their return to Class C with a 2-0 win over the Pirates in Waconia. Caleb Strack, a draftee from Randall, dominated the Windom lineup, striking out 17 and allowing only a 2-out single in the 8th inning.  Beau Hanowski scored on a 5th inning wild pitch and Dusty Parker delivered an 8th inning rbi single for Sobieski.  Ben Hanowski singled and doubled for the Skis.

The Lumberjacks beat the Longhorns 6-4 in Chaska to advance to the 2nd round of the 2021 Class C State Tournament.  Luis Massa had 3 hits including an rbi double, a solo Homer and walked twice.  Drew Beier had a pair of sacrifice fly's and Ryan Chmielewski earned the Win by pitching into the 8th with Drew Beier closing things out with the Save,

The Steves lose a close 1-0 game to the Panthers in the 1st round of the 2021 Class C State Tournament in Chaska. Princeton scored the games only run in the bottom of the 7th on a pinch-hit rbi single from Jake Oakes. Jake Schelonka and Ben Omann had 2 hits each for the Steves in the season-ending loss.

The Lumberjacks locked down the #3 seed with a decisive 13-1 win in 8 innings over the Steves in Upsala.  Luis Massa went 3-3 with a Home Run and a double, drove in 3 runs, walked twice and scored 3 runs to power a 13-hit attack for Foley.  Mat Meyer's lead-off Homer in the 8th provided the lone run for St. Stephen.

The Lakers beat the Skis 6-5 in Upsala to win the Region Championship game.  Avon built a 5-1 lead midway through the game and then had to withstand a furious late-game rally by Sobieski.

The Lumberjacks beat the Billygoats 6-2 in Upsala to earn their spot in the State Tournament.  Drew Beier was 3-3 with an rbi, a stolen base and 2 walks and also finished with 2 shutout innings for the Save in relief of the Winner, Ryan Chmielewski. Luis Massa added 2 hits and scored 3 runs and Ean Von Wald belted a solo Homer for Foley. Lane Girtz had 3 hits for Buckman.

The Steves edged the Rebels 4-3 in Upsala to secure their first trip to State since 2008.  Chris Belling fired 4 shutout innings of relief to earn his 2nd Win of the Tournament and St. Stephen put together a 2-run 7th to come from behind for the victory.

The Steves beat the Lumberjacks 6-4 when Ben Omann smashes a game-tying 2-run Homer in the 8th, then Blake Guggenberger and Tony Schmitz deliver run-scoring hits in the 9th.

The Avon Lakers beat the Pierz Lakers 6-4 in dramatic fashion as Cody Stich belts a walk-off 2-run Homer in the bottom of the 9th.

The Billygoats shut out the Bluejays 10-0 in 8 innings on Saturday at Hellie Field in the 2nd game of the 2021 Region 8C Tournament.  Austin Dickmann fired the 2-hit shutout and Aaron Weber belted a 2-run Homer, Matt Kummet and Andrew Rueckert drove in 2 runs each and Noah Boser went 3-3 with a Home Run and scored 5 runs. 

The Skis defeated the Rebels 7-2 in the first game of the 2021 Region 8C Tournament in Pierz.  Tyler Jendro threw a Complete Game, striking out 6.  Collin Eckman's 3-run Homer for Sobieski in the 5th was the key hit of the game.

The Buckman Billygoats beat the Foley Lumberjacks 8-1 to win the North/East Division Playoff title.  Austin Dickmann and Noah Cekalla combined to limit Foley to just 1 hit.  Andrew Rueckert delivered 3 doubles for the Billygoats, who also got 2 doubles from Jack Suska, a Homer from Noah Boser and 2 hits each from Joe Kahl and Lane Girtz.  

The Lakers clinched a spot in the Region 8C Tournament with a 6-1 win over the Brewers at Hellie Field.  Carter Petron allowed just 2 hits over 6 innings while striking out 11 to get the Win.  Chad Weiss led the Lakers offense with 3 hits, including a pair of rbi doubles.

Playing their 3rd game in about 12 hours and their 6th game in 6 days, the Pierz American Legion Baseball team bowed out of the Playoffs with a 15-7 loss to the Tri Town Black Sox in Atwater on Sunday.  Pierz took an early 5-0 lead but just seemed to run out of gas in the 90+ degree heat as Tri Town advanced to the State Tournament.

Pierz drops Game 2 of the Sub-State Championship series to Tri Town by a score of 9-0 as ace lefty Josh Kingery blanked Pierz on just 1 hit, a Ben Virnig single in the 2nd inning.

The Pierz American Legion Baseball team took Game 1 of their series with the Tri Town Black Sox 10-8 as Kirby Fischer got the Win with 5 solid innings of work on the mound and relief help from Ryan Stuckmayer.  Pierz used a 5-run bottom of the 4th to break a 5-5 tie.  Noah Cekalla singled and doubled to drive in 3 runs, Michael Leidenfrost swiped 4 bases and scored 3 runs, Kolten Happke had 2 h...

The Steves beat the Bluejays 11-5 in a 1st round game in Upsala.  Mat Meyer Homered for the 12th time this year and drove in 5 runs for St. Stephen while Levi Lampert belted a 2-run shot for Upsala.

Pierz clinched the Playoff series with Litchfield with a 7-0 win in Game 3 on Thursday night at Optimist Park.  Ben Virnig worked 5 shutout innings, allowing just 2 hits to get the Win and Ryan Stuckmayer finished with 2 shutout innings out of the bullpen.  Pierz used a 3-run bottom of the 3rd and a 4-run bottom of the 5th to secure the win and advance to the next round.  Michael Leidenfrost, R...

Pierz evened the best 2-out-of-3 series with Litchfield with a 4-2 over Litchfield at Optimist Park on Thursday.  Noah Cekalla went  innings to get the Win and Ben Virnig worked the last 2 frames to earn the Save.  Ryan Stuckmayer had 2 hits including a double and scored a run, and Ben Virnig and Andy Winscher had hits and each drove in a run.

Pierz lost 7-5 to Litchfield in Game 1 in a Best 2-out--of-3 series at Hellie Field.  Litchfield scored the first 7 runs of the game but Pierz came back with 4 in 5th and 1 in the 7th but couldn't continue the comeback.  Chandler Doucette and Reese Young had 2-hit games for Pierz.

The Lakers downed the Bulldogs 12-2 in 8 innings on Friday night at Hellie Field. Chad Weiss threw a Complete Game, striking out 11 to get the Win.  

The Skis beat the Lakers 4-0 in an exhibition game at Hellie Field.  Ben Hanowski and Tyler Jendro drove in runs in the 1st inning, the Zack Gwost delivered a 2-run single in the 7th to round out the scoring.  Alex Gwost and Thomas Miller combined on the 1-hit shutout as Mitch Woitalla's 3rd inning single was the only hit for Pierz.

The Brewers completed their regular season on a high note with a 9-5 win over the Lakers on Friday at Hellie Field.  Cody Kimman got the Win with excellent relief help from Peter Schommer.  Cody Kimman also went 2-5 and drove in 4 runs.

The Lakers lost an 8-1 decision to the Stone Poneys in an exhibition game at Hellie Field.  Paul Herman, Alex Haapajoki and Reggie Litke collected the only 3 hits off Poneys pitchers Reese Johnson and Chase Heying.  

The Skis celebrate Hall of Fame Day with a 12-2 win over the Bluejays.  Beau Hanowski and Dusty Parker hit Homers and Tyler Jendro struck out 8 in 6 innings for Sobieski. Matt Swanson hit a 2-run Homer for Upsala.

Bryce Flanagan worked 7 solid innings and Ethan Branum smacked a 2-run Homer as the Rebels downed the Lakers 7-4 at Hellie Field. 

The Lightning break it open late to beat the Brewers 9-3.  During the game, I'm joined by Ashley Kimman and Craig Johnshoy who had just returned from the State Track and Field Meet where Ashley captured a Bronze Medal in the High Jump.

The Pioneers keep their season alive with a come-from-behind 6-3 win over the Huskies in the elimination round of the Section 6AA Tournament in Waite Park.

A late-game rally by the Pioneers falls just short in a 6-4 loss to the Cardinals in the Winners Bracket game of the Section 6AA Tournament in Waite Park.

The Pioneers drop an exciting 1-0 game to the Huskies at Putz Field in the Winners Bracket game of the Section 6AA Tournament.  Albany gets an rbi single in the bottom of the 3rd for the only run of the game. The Pioneers leave runners at 2nd and 3rd to end the game.

The Pioneers stage a huge 4-run, 2-out rally in the 5th inning to defeat Holdingford 8-7.  The Pioneers are then able to withstand a bases-loaded, 1-out situation in the 7th to hold off the Huskers in the Semifinals of Section 6AA.

Tori Wagner fires a 1-hitter as the top-seeded Pioneers beat #8 Sauk Centre 5-1 in the Section 6AA Quarterfinals.  Liz Kelash drove in a pair of runs, Brenna Dickmann had 2 hits including a triple and Erika Dickmann had an rbi double to lead the offense.  

The Pioneers defeated the Dutchmen 4-1 at Hellie Field in the 2nd round of the Section 6AA Playoffs as Noah Cekalla fired a 2-hitter and the Pioneers broke a 1-1 tie in the 5th on an rbi single from Kolten Happke and a 2-run bomb from Jeremy Bingesser.

The Lumberjacks beat the Bulldogs 16-1 in a 7 inning game at Hellie Field behind a 4-hit, 6-rbi game from Luis Massa and Wyatt Ziwicki's Homer and 4 rbi's to back the pitching of Alec Dietl.  Mason Herold has an rbi single to drive in Chuck Boser for the Bulldogs only run.

The Pioneers close out their regular season with a 5-1 win over the Huskies behind a Complete Game pitching performance from Tori Wagner.  Liz Kelash was 2-3 with an rbi and scored a run, Emma Melby was 2-3 with an rbi double and scored twice, and Emily Sadlovsky and Kelsie Cummings each had 2 hits and both drove in a run.

The Pioneers launch a school-record 5 Home Runs in a 14-1 win over the Mainstreeters.  Kiara Olesch went deep twice, and Halle Zupan, Kelsie Cummings and Emily Dehler also left the ballpark.  All in support of the fine pitching from Emily Sadlovsky.

Jeremy Bingesser hurls 6 hitless innings before exceeding the pitch limit and gives way to Noah Cekalla in the 7th.  Noah works a perfect 1-2-3 inning to complete the combined no-hitter as the Pioneers beat the Flyers 9-0.

The Billygoats rallied from a 4-0 deficit to beat the Lightning 9-4, using a 7-run bottom of the 7th to complete the comeback.

The Pioneers 5-game winning streak ends with a 7-0 loss to the Crusaders at Faber Field.  Michael Leidenfrost, Kolten Happke, Ryan Stuckmayer and Kamden Happke have hits for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers rallied for a 7-4 win over the Cubs, using a 4-run 4th inning, highlighted by Halle Zupan's 3-run double then added 3 runs in the 6th on an rbi triple from Brenna Dickmann and 2 run-scoring wild pitches.

Jeremy Bingesser fires a no-hitter in a 10-0 win for the Pioneers over the Huskers.  Jeremy struck out 11 and faced the minimum 18 batters in the game.

The Pioneers win a hard-fought 3-1 game over the Patriots in Nisswa to improve to 11-4.  Noah Cekalla strikes out 13 and allows just 1 hit before being forced to leave due to his pitch count.  A spectacular game-ending double play started by Michael Leidenfrost's diving catch ended the game.

The Skis edge the Lightning 3-2 in 11 innings as Matt Baier's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th allowed Ben Hanowski to tag up and score the winning run.  

Jonah Prokott fired a no-hitter at the Silverstreaks , striking out 11 as the Pioneers blanked Osakis 4-0 on Senior Night.  Michael Leidenfrost had 2 hits, stole 3 bases and scored twice, Chandler Doucette had an rbi double off the wall, Kolten Happke had an rbi single and Noah Cekalla drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

The Pioneers dominated in a match-up of once beaten teams with a 14-1 win in 5 innings over the Silverstreaks.  Tori Wager threw a Complete Game 2-hitter with 5 strikeouts and Kiara Olesch, Brenna Dickmann and Liz Kelash all had 3-hit games for Pierz, who improved their record to 14-1.

The Pioneers beat the Wolves 11-1 in 6 innings as Andy Winscher went the distance, striking out 11.  Michael Leidenfrost had a 3-hit game, Kolten Happke had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs, and Chandler Doucette's 2-run double in the 1st highlighted a 6-run inning.  Mason Herold ended the game with his first career hit, a game-ending 2-run single.
