Is it time for a wage hike for low paid workers in the public sector?

The Assembly has shot down a call for a pay hike in the N Ireland public sector. Green Party MLA Stephen Agnew wanted a new 'Living Wage' paid in our education system. That could have boosted the wage packets of lower paid employees. But it was voted down at Stormont.
