The nominations list for The Jameson Empire Awards 2015 has been revealed this morning.

Voted for entirely by moviegoers themselves, the shortlisted films are an eclectic mix of blockbusters, critically acclaimed gems and independent releases.

Leading the charge is World War II epic The Imitation Game, which received nods in six of the 11 categories - Jameson Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Thriller, Best British Film, and Best Film.

Despite only picking up a solitary Oscar and BAFTA nomination, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies picked up four nominations including Best Film, Best Sci-fi/Fantasy and Best Director.

Also on four nominations is fellow box office smash Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and action spy movie Kingsman: The Secret Service.
