SA leaders: community closure concerns
Mark Colvin ABC - Natalie Whiting reporting. - Indigenous leaders in South Australia are calling for a guarantee that remote communities in the state won't close as a result of funding cuts. Crisis meetings were held in the state over the weekend, and leaders are calling for an urgent meeting with the State Government.
The West Australian Government has suggested closing some communities as a result of Federal Government funding cuts. The South Australian Government says it's pushing the Commonwealth to change its decision, but Indigenous groups say the lack of a plan B is causing anxiety.
