In December 1940 Sheffield was bombed by the German air force for the first time during the WW2. 97 year old Doug Lightening is the last surviving fireman who was on duty.
He's been speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield about his memories of that night. In this clip he also tells Rony Robinson how he joined the RAF, seeing life from the other side of the bomber.
