Season 1, Episode 18,   Jun 18, 2015, 07:56 PM

In response to the second part of Mala’s interview Akaash and Arjun dive into the many topics that were discussed during their interview, and respond to the community. They start with a discussion of her compassion and the holistic way she is able to see the world. Arjun gives a passionate response on why he finds that to be a more evolved way of looking at the world, and Akaash generously allows him to ramble on. They address the tragic truth that Mala’s parents marriage seemed to be doomed to fail since it wouldn’t work in India and the move to America seemed to destroy them. There really wasn’t more to say that "it is sad," but the boys being verbose and slightly annoying managed to turn that into a few minutes. They sum that segment up with a discussion of sitting in the murkiness of the world and the truth that life is not black and white.

They then move to the community and discuss some of the amazing emails they received, starting with a quite negative reaction to the Mala discussion. Amongst the negative thoughts though was a comment about south asians and african americans and a comparison of their struggle. This prompted a conversation about whether we should be compared to them or any other minority at all, which allows for Akaash to stand upon a soapbox about militant people, and that ends up segueing beautifully into an email about dating interracially. They concluded their discussion episode with a talk about names. Enjoy and please share.
