Pastor McConnell, the Ashers gay cake controversy, same sex marriage and the debate around abortion. Some christians in Northern Ireland say liberal attitudes to these issues have left them feeling persecuted. But Newsletter columnist Alex Kane doesn't see it. He says being challenged about your beliefs isn't persecution. And Alex says asking Christians for a more substantial answer than "the bible says so" also doesn't amount to persecution.
