Report from Wonderland
The Social Network Show welcomes back, Dr. Maria Tatar to the April 9, 2014 episode.
We have something a little different and light hearted in this episode. Dr. Maria Tatar, a Harvard University professor who teaches folklore, children's literature and German cultural studies has shared with us before, the importance of reading to children. Reading to children builds values, empathy, curiosity and stimulates conversation. Online aggression, which we talk about on the show so often, is related to lack of empathy.
Hear Dr. Tatar explain what happens to our minds as she reads a passage out of the book, Charlotte's Web.
