BBC #r4today 14/08/15 Lord Armstrong on #TedHeath.
Clearly Lord Armstrong is displeased with the police approach. There is something to consider here, not least the police interview outside the home of the former Prime Minister. . But how does Lord Armstrong propose police investigate allegations into this most secret of crimes, one in which the alleged abuser is as motivated as the abusee to keep it secret? Without informing the public an investigation has started, grounded on information received and assessed by the police, alleged crimes will unlikely ever be exposed. Lord Armstrong does provide any suggestion - but it is something the objectors to the use of media need to explain. Should BBC Crimewatch and the police reconsider their approach to the programme which has been so successful in exposing crime?
