Listen as Akaash and I talk about the interview we did with Varun Lella. We speak on the way that he painted a more nuanced vision of the Southern philosophy on race, and of course about his situation with that Desi girl in college. We then got into a thrilling discussion on where identity comes from: us or outside or both. From there, we move into the community and our first negative email. Frankly, we were stunned this was the first. We also discuss an article about a racial slur thrown at a student body president and the national conversation that may or may NOT be needed.
