The degree of memory loss experienced by Mr Lewis about child sexual abuse that occurred at Geelong Grammar is significant. He accepted few of the inquiry's assertions. Towards the end of the recording (from 13'.19", and in the face of the scale of abuse at Geelong, he declined to accept the child protection policy failed to protect students and that its real function was to protect the reputation of the school.
