Should ex-criminals have to declare their records to potential employers? The charity Business in the Community is calling on more employers to put an end to what it calls "archaic recruitment practices" that exclude ex-offenders. It claims three-quarters of employers discriminate against applicants who have a criminal conviction. So far 50 employers have publicly banned the tick box from job application forms - as part of Business in the Community's Ban the Box campaign.
