Defend the BBC. That was the message at the BAFTAs last night from Peter Kosminsky, director of the award-winuing drama Wolf Hall. He received a standing ovation for his speech, warning that Government interfering with public service broadcasting could mean the end of productions like Wolf Hall. Well what do you think of that? As part of the plans due out this week John Whittingdale, the Culture Secretary could compel the BBC to publish the exact pay packages handed out to all presenters and performers on salaries of more than £150,000 a year.
