2 Republic of Korea pitchers team up for no-hitter in 10-0 victory over Canada.
Two pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter for Republic of Korea in a 10-0 victory in four innings over Canada on Tuesday at Cal Sr. Yard.
Canada couldn't get anything going so long as Kim was on the hill. Kim held Canada hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.
Minsung Cho blasted two home runs for Republic of Korea. Cho went 2-2 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Cho homered in the first and third innings.
Six runs in the opening three innings allowed Republic of Korea to easily put away Canada. A groundout by Kim, a wild pitch, a solo home run by Cho, and a two-run home run by Kim during the first inning helped Republic of Korea put some runs on the board early.
Republic of Korea hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Republic of Korea came when Cho homered in the first and third innings. Kai Cumiskey was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked three and struck out five.
Republic of Korea built upon its lead with four runs in the fourth. A double by Junhyeong Kim ignited the offense,, plating Hyungchan Um and Junhui Lee.
