Farewell in the City (Edgware Road, Bakerloo)
Reimagined by Philippe Blache and Jessica Peace.
"collaborative work between the dark ambient artist Philippe Blache (Day Before Us) and voice sound artist Jessica Peace. This textured piece reimagines sounds extracted from the London underground (Metropolitan Line). The sounds are then distorted, mixed with piano, electric organ waves, vocals and human breath to surround the "non place" (space of "transient activity" in the anthropological perspective or the "place of passage". "
Part of our project The Next Station, reimagining the sounds of the London Underground and creating the first ever tube sound map. August 2016 - for more information see www.citiesandmemory.com/thenextstation
