How would you feel if you saw a police officer in uniform - with a tattoo on his face, neck or hands? The Police Federation of England and Wales says that officers should be allowed to have visible tattoos. Some forces, including the Met Police, have a blanket ban on all visible tattoos, saying they send out the wrong message, but with one in 3 young people now having a tattoo, should that be changed? Would you mind if you dealt with a police officer who had a tattoo on show? Or is it unprofessional? And where would you draw the line - would it also be OK for doctors, lawyers and teachers to have tattoos showing as well?
