Traffic chaos in Belfast last night - how does one accident bring entire city to grinding halt?

Last night traffic in and around Belfast was gridlocked. With a lorry shedding its load on the Westlink, Northern Ireland playing at Windsor Park and Rod Stewart performing at the SSE Arena it seemed like the road network could not cope. Eventually Northern Ireland v Croatia had to be put back to allow fans more time to get to the game. Were you caught up in it? How long was your journey?
