Renée Felice Smith Interview
Renée Felice Smith who can currently be found as a series regular on CBS's "NCIS:Los Angeles". Renée plays the quirky, quick witted Intelligence Analyst, Nell Jones, alongside Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J and Linda Hunt. Most recently, Renée appeared in Tony Kaye's latest film, "Detachment" opposite Lucy Liu, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and is set for a national release in March 2012. In addition, Renée starred in Amy Sherman-Palladino's (Gilmore Girls) pilot for The CW "The Wyoming Story" alongside Alan Ruck, Sean Faris and Scarlett Alice Johnson. Renée made her Off-Broadway debut in Second Stage's "Wildflower" and garnered complimentary reviews, most notably from The New York Times. She was also a member of the Sundance Institute's Theatre Lab on Governor's Island in NYC and performed under the direction of Yale School of Drama's, Liz Diamond. Renée graduated as an honors scholar at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she double majored in Drama and Journalism and minored in History. While at NYU, she studied 'commedia dell'arte' in Florence, Italy and also co-founded Tisch's first student dance troupe.
Renée is currently developing a children's book series, which will feature her very own dog, a French bulldog, Hugo. Additionally she is developing several short film projects ranging from a pedestrian dance piece to a gritty New York subway story
