We talk with Mike about his upbringing in Chicago, his early start with shooting and editing videos, doing lighting direction for high school plays, linking up with Mike Waxx at Columbia College to bring video content to illroots.com, dropping out of school after one year to document the Watch the Throne recording process in Australia, and then moving to NYC and living with Virgil Abloh and Ibn Jasper.
