Research from the University of Kent has found that 'nagging' teachers could be making youngsters more disruptive in the classroom. The study's found that psychological pressures, such as threatening a child with detentions, or telling them to do something without explaining why, can lead to pupils losing interest in lessons. Dr Stephen Earl is behind the research.
