New research seen by #kmfm has revealed lots of us are still confused about driving on smart #motorways
It's where the hard shoulder is used as an extra lane and is already in place on part of the #M25 in Kent - a section of the #M20 is being converted too.
The #RAC's found that half of motorists didn't realise emergency refuge areas were only for broken down vehicles or those that had been in a crash.
