Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3, episode 11, “Gingerbread”:
-"Gingerbread" was not great, but we made it through
-Joyce had something to do, but it still was still awful
-Do these brainwashing scenarios reveal something about Joyce's true nature?
-The Joyce and Giles awkwardness is one of the best strands of continuity
-We meet Willow's very clinical mother in this episode
-Xander and Willow's families make Joyce look a bit bitter
-MOO shut it down!
-First rule of Vampire Club: Don't talk about Vampire Club
-Could we have an army of Hellmouth guards?
-Harry Potter and Buffy-- too close for comfort
-The reveal was quite clever with the nameless children
-But... we still don't know some of the finer elements
-Burn the children! Or not!
-Amy is a rat. We'll deal with that later

Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3, episode 12, “Helpless”:
-ARIANA HAS A HAMILTON SYNOPSIS
-This episode is truly a testament to Giles' character
-Once things get explained, however, it's not great
-We're stuck in a very gray area with Giles
-Tradition is tradition, until it goes too far
-Should we distrust The Watchers Council?
-Buffy is choosing to focus on character development than vampire of the week and the show is more interesting for it
-We're in season 3 and the characters still have room to grow
-Giles' character switch mid-season is a refreshing storyline
-Buffy has a great track record of remembering its history
-A father's love for the child - sob
-Oz and Xander- how do we feel about their friendship?
-Buffy may understand what Giles did, but the seed is sown
-Is this test even necessary? There is an issue of consent in the way it is set up
-The Watched Council is on a power trip
-And Brittany brings it back to The Hunger Games
-The overalls of sadness are back for the final battle
-The battle was dark and joyless- "no punning"
-Cordelia is the human hero this show does not deserve, so great
-Angel and Buffy have some kind of moment or something- at least they are aware of it
-"Sometimes the best we can do is start over." - Peggy Carter
