Episode #64 - Stay Alive
May 13, 2014, 06:00 AM
Let's talk about death, baby. Natalie and Karen are joined by Katie Myers, winner of MTV's Die On Teen Wolf competition, to discuss her experience of dying on the show and to chat in general about Teen Wolf's most significant character deaths.

- Introducing Katie Myers (@MKate04) - the winner of MTV's Die On Teen Wolf competition!
- We hear Katie's experience with the competition, including the influence of her class of students.
- Naturally we want to hear all about her time on set, filming her death scene and her favorite memories.
- This sort of meanders off into our own love letter about the Teen Wolf set and crew - told you we'd be milking this for the next 400 years.
- We get the lowdown on the actual stunt work involved in Katie's death.
- Katie's students and school are a great mini-example of the way Teen Wolf just seems to take over everyone who gets exposed to it!
- The actual on-screen character deaths - are Teen Wolf's more traumatic than other supernatural shows?
- Are the frequent deaths on Teen Wolf an example of a strange sort of realism in the Beacon Hills world?
- For example, Boyd and Erica's deaths could both be the realistic result of unprepared kids and Derek's terrible life choices.
- Gore: Teen Wolf doesn't really hold back from it!
- We mention some of the show's grossest deaths and Karen makes a HORRIMAZING fire joke.
- While the digital SFX are sometimes not the best, the physical visual effects like make-up are really amazing.
- What were our most memorable character deaths on the show? We're all kind of in agreement for our number one emotional placement.
- Someone - looking at you, Will Wallace - probably has to do a lot of creepy death method research for this show.
- Once again, we wonder what physical damage can kill a werewolf - we're still a little confused about Boyd just getting poked by Derek's claws.
- We've had a few resurrections, of sorts, on the show. We talk about the different circumstances and what those stories could possibly bring.
- Allison's death drove home how fragile the human pack members are - one wrong step and they're gone. Will Scott become more protective of the humans and not allow them to participate anymore?
- Are there some characters who should have died?
- When it comes to villians, we wonder if maybe who survives and who gets killed says more about who is doing the killing.
- If we could bring someone back or erase a death, who would it be?
- Jackson got a death scene but they eventually decided to go with his survival and redemption. Have any other characters had close calls?
- Who might die in season 4?
- We let Katie ask us her non-sequitur question, which sticks with the horror theme!
