#BBCNolan exclusive - £14M spent on private taxis transporting children to and from school

A freedom of information request by the Nolan Show has revealed that in the last 3 years over £14 million has been spent on providing private taxis to take children to and from school. Currently there are 2234 children in receipt of a taxi, which is provided if a child has special needs or there are no public transport links in the area. Does this seem like a lot of money?
