Big Utah snow pack highlights need for swiftwater safety

Rivers across Utah and the West are running high as snow from a record-setting winter melts. That has boaters excited to float swollen rivers and streams. Doing that safely requires training and experience. The University of Utah offers that training in an open-enrollment course titled Swiftwater Rescue Fundamentals.
