Racist slogans and burning effigies on bonfires - does that sound like celebrating culture to you?

Yesterday is said to have been one of the most peaceful Twelfth of Julys in decades. Thousands took part in parades across Northern Ireland and the police have praised all involved, saying it should be a model for years to come. The eleventh night bonfires also passed off largely without incident. But there have been calls for some bonfires to be prosecuted for hate crimes after a black coffin adorned with the face of the late Sinn Fein Deputy First Minister and the slogan 'F*** the IRA' was placed on a bonfire near the Castlereagh Road in east Belfast. Another in the area had a racist banner about Celtic striker Scott Sinclair which said "Scott Sinclair loves bananas". Is this really celebrating culture?
