In Sight explores mysteries, true crime, and forgotten history. In this episode, Charlie and Ali discuss the 2006 murder of Brian Barrett, part-time factory worker and college student. This story begins a little more than a year previously when Brian’s coworker Tom Montgomery decided to pose as a teenage Marine online and met “Jessi,” a beautiful 18 year old living several states away. As Tom and Jessi create their own set of lies, Brian unknowingly becomes a threat to Tom’s fantasy world.
