"A year ago tonight at around 2am I tried to kill myself, I had enough after struggling year after year with the black fog that is depression. Thankfully I was unsuccessful." The words of Derry man Caolan Doherty. In a widely viewed Facebook post he shared last week, Caolan opened up about his attempted suicide and living with depression. Just days after he tried to take his own life Caolan learned that his girlfriend was pregnant. Now one year later, Caolan is father to his baby boy and wants to encourage others to talk about depression.
