Episode 7: The Villisca Axe Murders
In the early morning hours of June 10, 1912 the six members of the Moore family were slaughtered in their beds along with the family's two guest, the Stillinger sisters. In total two adults and six children between ages 5-12 were murdered with an axe. This crime shook the small town of Villisca to its core. We still do not know who was responsible for these murders, why they did it, or how they went undected through a house killing everyone as they slept in their beds.
