Parents in England get 30 hours of free childcare from this month - will we get the same?

From this month, working parents of three and four year olds in England will be entitled to 30 hours' free childcare a week. It was one of the Conservative's biggest and most popular pledges of the last general election. It means parents in England will get 1140 hours free care a year, doubling the current allowance. But childcare matters are devolved in Northern Ireland and, according to the charity Employers for childcare, there are not currently any plans to increase the level of free preschool provision here. Stephen has been speaking to the policy manager for the charity Employers for Childcare, Aoife Hamilton. She explained the difference between here and England.
