Foley Power Quad 1st Round of Duals

Four of the best teams in Minnesota High School Wrestling met in Foley on Friday night for an exciting night of Dual action as the first round saw the nationally ranked Simley Spartans hold off a very serious challenge from the powerful Bemidji Lumberjacks 37-31, as Simley got Falls from Daniel Kerkvliet and Luke Zaiser to come from behind. Meanwhile the St. Michael-Albertville Knights defeated the Foley Falcons 39-17, winning 10 of 14 matches. The Knight's Patrick McKee, a 2-time State Champion took a Major Decision win (18-4) over the Falcons Cameron Kowitz while Foley's State Champ, Heavyweight Mitch Trigg won by Fall over STMA's Allen Winters.
