Foley Power Quad 3rd Round of Duals

In the final round of Duals in Foley, the St. Michael-Albertville Knights grab a 27-0 lead over the Bemidji Lumberjacks after 5 matches and go to power their way to a 42-21 win as the Knights go 2-1 in Foley while the Lumberjacks finish with a 1-2 record on the evening. At the same time, the two Class AA teams at the Power Quad squared off when #2 ranked Simley went against #4 ranked Foley. The Spartans held a slim 1 point lead (29-28) with just 2 matches to go. They got their clinching victory when the great Daniel Kerkvliet earned his 3rd win by 1st period Fall to put the Dual on ice. Foley State Champion Heavyweight Mitch Trigg did manage to send the large home crowd home with a smile when Trigg won by Fall to make the final score 35-34, as Trigg also won all 3 of his matches by Fall for the event and his last win was also his 100th career victory for the Falcons.
