In their first Dual at the Little Falls Quad, the Pioneers dug themselves a big hole, falling behind the Sabres 32-3 midway through the match. But Brandon Tomala started the turnaround with a 9-2 win at 152 lb's to make it 32-6 and then the Pioneers rattled off 5 straight pins from Reese Kapsner, Alex Barclay, Jalen Jansen, Luke Girtz and Carson Huls to take a 36-32 lead! But the Sabres had a hammer waiting at the end in the form of Cole Fibranz, the Class AAA defending State Champion at 220 lb's and currently ranked #1 in the State. His win by Fall was the deciding margin as the Sabres took the 38-36 victory.
