Consolation Wrestlebacks All Classes State Wrestling 2018

In the final session on Friday at the Excel Energy Center, wrestlers battled to keep their seasons alive in the consolation bracket.  Jake Andres of Pierz won 7-3 at 120AA to move on to Saturday's Consolation Quarterfinals.  Carson Huls of Pierz managed a thrilling 6-4 Sudden Victory win to advance at 220AA.  Cameron Kowitz of Foley stayed alive with his 15-6 win at 126AA.  Mitch Rothfork of the Falcons lost his match 4-2 and was eliminated.  In Class AAA, Gabe Nagel saw his season end with a 5-4 loss at 145AAA while Simon Bryce won his match 5-1 and advances at 152AAA. In Class A, Royalton/Upsala won all 4 of their matches. Jacob Leibold won 2-0 in Sudden Victory at 120A, Jackson Held won 14-6 at 160A, and both Lyle Zimmerman (170A) andMarshall Meehl (182A) won by Fall to move on to Saturday's Consolation Quarterfinals.
