Lavate couple not happy with Supreme Court's ruling on 'Passive Euthanasia'
Supreme Court of India in their historic judgement has held that right to die with dignity is a fundamental right. The Bench also held that passive euthanasia and a living will also legally valid. The Court has issued detailed guidelines in this regard. Mumbai based couple Narayan Lavate and Iravati Lavate who have appealed to the President Ram Nath Kovind to be granted permission for active euthanasia are unhappy with Supreme Court's decision on passive euthanasia. They are waiting for apex court's decision to make active euthanasia permissable.
