The Pioneers explode out of the gates to the 2018 season with a 22-5 victory in Game 1 of a doubleheader over the Eagles. Jack Suska tripled twice, doubled and drove in 6 runs while Reese Kapsner was 3-3 and scored 5 runs, Preston Rocheleau drove in 4 runs with a pair of hits, Alex Funk had a couple of run-scoring hits, Brandon Dickmann belted a solo Homer, Isaac Otte had a 2-run double, and the Pioneers scored 12 times in the 4th inning to blow the game open. Alec Lochner got the Win on the mound, throwing the first 3 innings with Derek Schommer working an inning of relief.
