In a Sunday Winners Bracket game at Hellie Field in Pierz at the 2018 Region 8C Tournament, the Skis built a 9-0 lead over the Lakers as Beau Hanowski had another big game with a single, double triple, a walk, rbi and 2 runs for Sobieski. Joey Hanowski drove in 3 runs, Scott Litchy drove in 2 and scored 3, and Tyler Jendro struck out 5 over 7 innings as Sobieski beat Lastrup 11-1 in 7 innings to clinch a spot in the Class C State Tournament.
