Are you prepared to walk?

There's a time to take the gigs to get the practice but if someone just wants a speaker to fill a slot, do you even want it? Be choosey. Be selective. It's not about winning and losing or whose calling the shots. If it doesn't feel right, you have to say it up front or it will become a rock in your shoe. Even if you lose the deal, you'll walk away with more confidence.
