Stormont stalemate sees many key decisions put on hold - @roybeggs outlines what his party have discovered under Freedom of Information

Cancer patients and charities have welcomed yesterday's announcement from the Department of Health that drugs given to people in other parts of the UK are now to be available in Northern Ireland. It follows confirmation earlier this week that the HIV prevention drug, Prep, will finally be prescribed here in a new sexual health clinic costing £450,000 from the health service transformation fund. So it's apparent that civil servants in the department are making some spending decisions in the absence of a minister at Stormont. But many key decisions are on hold, awaiting ministerial approval. There's no suicide prevention strategy. And there's no-one to make the hard choices about the Northern Ireland health budget or the transformation of the NHS here. These and other outstanding issues are revealed in the response to a Freedom of Information request by the Ulster Unionist Party. Stephen spoke to UUP MLA Roy Beggs.
