Sabrimala verdict: What does India think of the fresh judgement

The Supreme Court, in a majority opinion of 4:1 on 28th of september , lifted the centuries-old practice of prohibiting women aged between 10 and 50 years from entering the Sabrimala Temple in Kerala. ''Right to pray'' in the temple for women between 10 and 50 years of age won over the 'right to wait' campaign where the SC said that the Patriarchy cannot trump the freedom to practice religion. Just when many women across the country welcomed the Supreme Court verdict allowing women to enter Sabarimala temple, a different kind of opinion seems to be taking shape by some devotees.
