A Kent firefighter who helped in the rescue effort after the last big earthquake in Indonesia says teams helping after last Friday's tremor and tsunami face an even bigger challenge.

More than 15-hundred people are now known to have died in the disaster and around 200 children have been orphaned.

Technical Rescue Manager Alan Downes was sent to the country after a quake there in 2009 - he says the workload could still be mounting for the authorities.

A British plane full of aid has been sent to Sulawesi - the area worst affected.
