The Columbine High School Massacre

On April 20, 1999 in Jefferson county, Colorado, two high school students walked into their school, dressed in long black trench coats and armed to the teeth with weaponry and opened fire on their classmates and teachers. Twelve students were killed and one teacher, with 24 other individuals injured in the deadly attack.

Why did the two students, who were aged 17 and 18 at the time of the attack, commit this horrific crime? Could the attack have been prevented?

The attack lasted less than an hour, the effects would last a lifetime. Who were the murderers? What exactly happened that day in April?
