Former Tranmere Keeper Eric Nixon & Youth Goalkeeping Coach Paul Davies joined Steve to discuss Eric's new Goalkeeping Academy & Micky Mellons new contract

The new academy will see goalkeepers recently realized from football clubs getting specialist coaching from Eric and his coaching staff, the players will get one-to-one time on the pitch and the classroom in order to help them improve their ability and boost their confidence.

The players will then be helped by The Football Group to find new clubs and get back into the professional game.

"Goalkeeper is arguably the most important position on the field they are the last line of defense and the first line of attack. A

the goalkeeper can win a game with one brilliant save or become the villain making a mistake at a crucial time. The nature of the position requires mental agility, speed, athleticism, confidence, bravery and good communication skills".
