A Kent service supporting vulnerable people in police custody has launched a new model to help break the cycle of re-offending.

The Criminal Justice Liason and Diversion Service is introducing new practitioners in each station across the county.

Their job is to meet anyone who's been arrested and identify if they need any health or social support - alongside the criminal process.

Sam Banfield is a liason and diversion practitioner - she says this is about changing their lives.
