Comedian Jon Stewart chastised Congress on Tuesday for failing to act quickly to ensure that the September 11 Victims Compensation Fund does not run out of money.

Stewart spoke before a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing packed with firefighters, police officers and other supporters to advocate for a bill that would extend the fund - which compensates survivors and first responders who suffered physical harm as a result of the September 11 attacks - for the next 70 years.
