To kick off the opening half of Soccer Matters, Glenn discusses the USWNT’s fantastic victory over the Netherlands in the World Cup Final and the USMNT’s disappointing defeat to Mexico in the Gold Cup Final.  As the hour continues, he is joined by Canadian international and Houston Dash midfielder Sophie Schmidt to talk about her experience playing for Canada over in France and what she’s looking forward to as she heads back to Houston to rejoin the Dash.  To wrap up the first half of the show, Glenn dives into the future of the USMNT and explains why it is so important that the United States develops or finds a striker in the wings to eventually replace Jozy Altidore.
