Avon Lakers vs Buckman Billygoats Region 8C 2019

The Lakers edged the Billygoats 4-3 in the first round of the 2019 Region 8C Tournament at Hellie Field.  Matt Pichelmann hurled a Complete Game for Avon while Caleb Curry went 4-4 and Carter Holthaus had a big 2-run single in the top of the 8th snapped a 2-2 tie.  Noah Boser had smashed a solo Homer in the bottom of the 7th to square the game at 2-2.   Pichelmann was able to strand the tying and winning runs on base to finish the game.
