Episode 72 - Colts versus Bills Preseason Week 1 Preview

Episode 12,   Aug 07, 2019, 08:31 PM

This Thursday, the first week of pre-season begins for the Buffalo Bills, as they host the Indianapolis Colts at home, 7pm kickoff time. It looks to be a big test for a Buffalo Bill's team that had got around this off-season to add much needed pieces. While only one quarter will be played with starters, there are some aspects to look at.
The Bills defensive line has been one of the highlights of this years camp, excelling and putting pressure on Josh Allen and the offensive line often. While the offensive line has been struggling, it has been tough to truly gauge how good the defensive starters are. They have a huge task at hand, going up against a stud offensive line, that went 5 games without giving up a sack for Andrew Luck in 2018. While Luck won't be playing on Thursday, if the defensive front can outwork the Colts' O-Line, it will be a good sign as to how talented that they are.
Josh Allen, and the Running back Core will also look to play against a tough defense in the Colts, who in 2018, did not allow a single 100-yard rusher. For a team looking to re-establish the run game after last years' campaign, this will be a good indicator on the season.
