The Pioneers cap off an undefeated 8-0 regular season with a 28-7 win over the Irish. The Pierz defense was outstanding, forcing 5 turnovers and shutting out the Irish offense, as Maple Lake's only score came on a kick-off return for a touchdown. Blake Kowalczyk ran for 2 touchdowns, Matthias Algarin ran for over 150 yards and scored a touchdown and added a pair of 2-point conversions and picked off a pass and Michael Leidenfrost found the endzone for the 4th time this year as well.
