Episode 63: The Kunz Family | Fourth of July Massacre

The fourth of July in marathon county Wisconsin was looking promising in the Summer of 1987. Independence day was falling on a Saturday and the weather was going to perfect. A slight breeze and a high of 75 degrees. Perfect weather for BBQing, drinking beers, and watching fireworks once the sun set in the rural and isolated county which sat basically at the center of the mid western state. And what better place to celebrate the 4th of July than in the heartland of America? However, the day wouldn’t turn out as great for all the residence of marathon county. As other enjoyed the Summer holiday a family of outsiders was being slaughtered six miles away on an isolated farm.
